I've purchased or recieved only three albums recently: elton john, maxwell and jimmy eat world. the elton because I like robert downey jr, the maxwell because he covers kate bush (which I, admittedly, didn't figure out until I read the liner notes), and the jimmy eat world because the lead singer (jimmy, I presume) sounds hauntingly like belinda carlisle. thus, the band sounds, at times, a little bit like the go-go's, which is a good band. note to self: the stop-stop's would be a great name for a cutesy all-boy pop-punk band. also, nelly furtado sounds slightly like edie brickell, but I haven't bought her album yet. not that I will. if I were to make an album right now it would sound like burt bacharach/post beatles, sappy married paul mccartney. consequently, I'm not making an album right now. I'm writing a novel about good and evil, but aren't we all?
